Microsoft Forms – Sharing with Students

This guide explains the easiest way to share a Microsoft Form with students.


1. Open your Form

- Go to Microsoft Forms

- Select the form you want students to complete


2. Get the Form Link

- Click the ‘Share’ button in the top right

- Under ‘Send and collect responses’, choose:

   • ‘Anyone can respond’ (easiest option)

   • OR ‘Only people in your organisation’ if required

- Click ‘Copy link’


3. Share the Form with Students

You can now share this link in the following ways:


A. Microsoft Teams (Recommended)

- Go to your class Team

- Open a channel (e.g. General)

- Paste the link into a post

- Students click the link to complete the form


B. Teams Assignment (Best for tracking)

- Go to ‘Assignments’ in your class Team

- Select ‘Create assignment’

- Add instructions

- Paste the form link

- Set a due date if needed


C. Email or SharePoint

- Paste the link into an email or page

- Students click to access immediately


4. Important Checks

- Test the link yourself before sharing

- Make sure students can access it without signing issues

- Check responses are being recorded in the ‘Responses’ tab
