Connecting to Guest Wi-Fi (BYOD) – Android

Before you start
You’ll need your Bradford Academy username and password
Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on
Step-by-step guide
1. Open Wi-Fi settings
Go to Settings
Tap Wi-Fi
Make sure Wi-Fi is turned ON
Select BYOD from the list
2. Enter the required settings
When the login box appears, enter the following:
Setting
What to choose
EAP Method
PEAP
Phase 2 Authentication
MSCHAPV2
Identity (Username)
Your school username
Password
Your school password
Important
CA Certificate / Certificates
Set to “Don’t validate” (or “Do not validate certificate” depending on your phone)
Anonymous Identity / Username box
If you see the word “anonymous” → delete it completely
Leave this box blank
3. Connect
Tap Connect
You’re done!
You should now be connected to the BYOD Wi-Fi network.
❗ Troubleshooting
If it doesn’t connect:
Double check your username/password
Make sure “Don’t validate certificate” is selected
Remove the network and try again
